Here’s what changed this week in AI tools: pricing shifts, new features, and platform updates worth knowing about if you use AI in your marketing or content workflow.
HeyGen and Kling: Free in-house voice model and 30-second video
HeyGen Voice, its in-house voice model, is free on the platform and API, while a Professional Voice Clone costs $99 a month. Separately, Kling 4.0 launched with up to 30 seconds of video in a single pass and support for image, video, and audio references. If you make explainer or social video, this could cut stitching time, though enterprise API pricing for Kling is still listed as coming soon.

ElevenLabs: Audio effects in text to speech and smarter transcription
ElevenLabs added audio effects to Text to Speech, turn-end prediction in transcription, and a new voice collections API. If you produce voiceovers or podcasts, you can now shape the sound without a separate editing step. It follows the Eleven v4 launch, which covers 90+ languages.

Runway: Kling and Ideogram models arrive on Runway Dev
Runway Dev now offers Kling 3.0 and Kling O3 video models, plus Ideogram 4.5 for images with legible text and mask-based editing. If you build your own content tools or automations, you can reach several top models through one API. Ideogram 4.5 is worth a look for ad creative where readable text matters.

Google AI Mode: More links and a spotlight for official sites
Google is placing inline links higher and more often in AI Mode and AI Overviews, and is testing a section that highlights one or two official sites for a task. If you handle SEO, clear canonical pages with strong titles matter more now. Search Console still reports a single position for all links in an AI Overview.

ChatGPT: Referral tags went missing, then returned
After the GPT-6 rollout, ChatGPT links stopped carrying the utm_source=chatgpt.com tag, so visits showed up as Direct until the tag came back on October 15. If you report on AI referral traffic, treat roughly October 8 to 15 as unreliable. Adobe’s sample showed ChatGPT visits down about 31,000 a day while Direct rose about 26,000.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud: 40 new MCP tools and Agentforce on by default
The Winter ’27 release added 40 tools to the Marketing Cloud Engagement MCP server, covering Automation Studio, campaigns, Content Builder, and data extensions. Agentforce is now enabled by default where your edition includes it. If your prompts call Gemini 2.5 models, retest them, since they reroute to Gemini 3.5 starting October 20.
